Several young women glance over at the camera and smile. The woman in the centre of the picture in the hooded coat is Riwki Urbach. Next to her on the far right is Henny Sabatowski. The Sabatowski sisters were born in 1926 and 1927 in Dresden as children of Polish immigrants. Their father was a tailor. The family lived at Pirnaische Strasse 32. Probably they were all murdered immediately after their arrival in Auschwitz-Birkenau. Of the three Urbach sisters Esther, Riwki and Dewaara, who lived in Dresden at Berliner Strasse 56, only Dewaara survived.
